Depending on the appointment level, the position contributes technical skills and hands-on training support in a full-service veterinary teaching hospital.

What you'll do

  • Provide veterinary technical support in Small Animal Primary Care
  • work alongside veterinarians
  • participate in one-on-one training of veterinary students, interns, and residents
  • restrain animals, administer injections, and place IV catheters
  • operate diagnostic and test equipment
  • lift animals weighing 50 pounds or more
  • work with equine, other large animal, or exotic species as needed based on dermatology service caseload.
