The Two-Way Communications Radio Programmer role is onsite in East Syracuse, NY; remote and hybrid work are not available. Compensation is $22–$25 per hour. United Radio provides technical services and customized solutions across more than 40 end markets. The programmer configures customer radio equipment, tests functionality, and repairs two-way radios to the component level. The role supports timely equipment service through troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and adherence to quality systems and customer needs. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you'll do

• Program communications equipment and test functionality using customer software
• learn and use special test equipment
• configure radio parameters and subscriber templates
• troubleshoot and repair two-way radio equipment to component level
• program synthesized radios on the bench or in vehicles
• test repaired units
• complete paperwork
• maintain a clean work environment and comply with company policies and quality systems.
