Electrical Engineer / Designer — Data Center Modules

The Electrical Engineer / Designer — Data Center Modules role is onsite in Houston, TX. Compensation is $30–$50 per hour. The position is a one-year contract that may be extended and supports electrical design for hyperscale data center modules. The designer prepares and checks drawings, bills of materials, and other electrical deliverables to meet customer requirements and engineering standards. The role supports engineers and service personnel by resolving drawing-based issues and helping ensure the electrical scope is accurate, reliable, efficient, and safe.

What you'll do

• Prepare and check drawings and bills of materials
• prepare material take-offs and detailed BOMs
• create layout drawings and electrical deliverables including cable routing, panel drawings, schematics, interconnect and loop diagrams, cable schedules, lighting and instrument layouts, earthing details, I/O schedules, and termination hook-ups
• simulate problems in drawings
• prepare factory acceptance test sequences and installation procedures
• review vendor drawings and data
• support outsourced design work
• provide design information and lessons-learned feedback.

Why this role
