The Registered Nurse - Geriatric Psychiatry role is an onsite position in Reseda, California, with rotating 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including weekends as needed. Pay is $57 per hour. The nurse supports a 10-bed short-term geriatric psychiatric unit serving patients aged 60 and older. The nurse provides acute psychiatric care through patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment-plan implementation, while responding to psychiatric crises and behavioral emergencies. Collaboration with the other nurses and interdisciplinary team supports safe, compassionate care and accurate documentation.

What you'll do

• Provide acute psychiatric care to geriatric patients aged 60 and older in a 10-bed short-term unit
• collaborate with 2-3 RNs per shift
• assess patients, administer medications, and implement treatment plans
• respond to psychiatric crises and behavioral emergencies
• document care and communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
