The Work Authorization (WAF) Coordinator role is onsite in Bremerton, WA, with pay of $25–$38 per hour. The coordinator supports the Northwest Region Project Team and its work-control coordination for ship systems. The role exists to prepare and coordinate work authorization forms and safety tag-outs so shipboard work can proceed with appropriate system conditions and safe work boundaries. It contributes to project execution by coordinating with ship, shipyard, work-control, and subcontractor teams and resolving authorization or tag-out issues.

What you'll do

• Develop and modify Navy Work Authorization Forms and work and safety procedures, including tag-out documents
• coordinate with the Centralized Work Control Team, Ship’s Company, subcontractors, Shipyard Project Team, and Code 101
• review engineering packages and drawings to verify system tag-outs
• develop integrated tag-outs and work strategies
• ensure tag-out accuracy and appropriate system and plant conditions
• support scheduling and timely changes
• conduct ship checks
• provide onsite resolution of related problems and technical issues. Some authorization, direction, and technical-direction duties may be assigned.
