What you'll do

• Maintain sterile supplies, instruments, and the sterile field
• assist the surgical team with supplies and equipment
• perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse
• gown and glove surgeons and assistants
• retain and verify specimens
• transport and reprocess equipment
• prepare patients and dressings
• clean and restock the operating room
• follow safety, privacy, and infection-control practices.
