What you'll do

• Assess residents’ nutrition status, laboratory data, fluid status, and energy and protein needs
• evaluate data and review or modify care plans
• provide nutrition care, including for residents fed enterally
• conduct meal rounds, test trays, and menu checks
• prepare residents for nutrition self-management
• support quality-assurance and improvement processes
• consult with the Food Service Director on therapeutic diets
• make referrals as needed
• participate in authorized inspections
• report resident changes and care issues to nursing supervisors.
