Utility Locator

Job overview

The Utility Locator role is onsite in Pensacola, FL, with compensation of $20 per hour. USIC provides underground utility damage prevention and infrastructure services to utilities and municipalities, with a mission to protect infrastructure and critical assets. The role exists to identify and mark underground utilities before excavation, helping prevent damage and support public safety. Locators work independently in the field, documenting each locate and providing clear mark-out information to excavators or property owners.

What you'll do

• Safely and efficiently locate underground telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer utilities
• search designated areas
• accurately mark utility locations
• complete documentation and photograph each locate
• reference locate tickets, maps, and prints
• communicate with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
