Part-Time Campus Safety Officer

Job overview

The Part-Time Campus Safety Officer role is onsite in Monkton, MD. Compensation is $21–$22 per hour. The officer reports to the Director of Campus Safety at St. James Academy and supports campus safety and security. The officer patrols campus, responds to incidents, and helps prepare the school community for emergencies. The role contributes to a safe and respectful learning environment through communication, reporting, and coordination with school staff and emergency services.

What you'll do

• Monitor campus buildings, grounds, and entry points
• patrol campus
• respond to emergencies, incidents, and safety concerns
• assist with fire, lockdown, and severe-weather drills
• coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed
• identify and report hazards
• maintain incident reports
• support safety training and initiatives
• provide safety oversight at assigned school events
• maintain required First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications or obtain them.
