What you'll do

• Maintain alertness to control and secure the facility and residents
• check watch equipment
• prepare shift documentation
• receive and relay shift information
• conduct radio checks, facility counts, and building patrols
• verify resident picture-board assignments
• supervise resident work details
• perform scheduled or random testing and searches
• document disciplinary actions
• conduct cleanliness checks
• verify visitor identities
• communicate professionally with residents and staff
• maintain confidentiality
• follow safety and facility policies.
