The CNC Machinist — First Shift role is onsite in Nashua, New Hampshire, Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Compensation is $27–$40 per hour. Protolabs describes itself as a leader in digital manufacturing, producing prototype parts and helping bring products to market quickly. The machinist sets up and operates CNC milling and lathe machines to produce prototype parts that meet tight requirements. Programming, inspection, maintenance, and production support help ensure accurate parts and timely delivery.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines
• prepare CAM files from CAD files, prints, and verbal instructions
• organize jobs and material inventory
• clean and maintain machines and shop equipment
• read blueprints and geometric tolerances
• inspect parts and make quality decisions
• support on-time delivery
• follow quality and safety procedures
• complete operator preventive maintenance
• identify solutions to production issues and maintain an organized work area.
