Special Education Teacher — Preschool

The Special Education Teacher role is onsite in Oswego, NY, on a Monday–Friday day schedule with weekends off. Compensation is $63,000 per year. Little Lukes works to provide special education to children in need. The teacher supports preschool children ages 3 to 5 with special needs through classroom instruction, individualized support, progress documentation, and coordination with families and the preschool team. What you'll do

• Support preschool children with special needs in the classroom alongside the Lead Teacher
• teach basic academic, behavior, social interaction, and living skills using behavior modification and positive reinforcement
• support curriculum understanding through one-on-one interaction
• help maintain classroom routines and a structured learning environment
• observe and report progress for IEPs
• document care and progress
• prepare goals and instructional materials according to IEPs
• coordinate curriculum implementation and discuss IEP development with families and relevant staff.
