Water Technician — Emergency Restoration

The Water Technician role is an on-site, as-needed position with work across Detroit, Berkley, Royal Oaks, and Ann Arbor, Michigan. The posting lists $18–$23 per hour. The technician supports mitigation and restoration projects to help return water-, storm-, sewage-, or mold-damaged properties to pre-loss condition. Work includes water extraction, drying equipment setup and monitoring, damaged-material demolition, moisture documentation, cleaning, and assistance with mold remediation when needed.

What you'll do

• Perform emergency water extraction and mitigation
• set up and monitor air movers and dehumidifiers
• demolish damaged drywall, flooring, insulation, and cabinetry
• take moisture readings and document affected areas
• assist with mold remediation and containment when necessary
• clean, sanitize, and deodorize affected structures and contents
• maintain job notes and photos
• follow safety procedures and communicate with customers and project contacts.
