What you'll do

• Set up and operate milling machines, an engine lathe, radial drills, a surface grinder, and hand tools
• read blueprints and use measuring devices to make, modify, or repair tools
• select feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and tooling
• verify finished work
• inspect machined products and document results
• report defective materials or questionable conditions
• maintain a clean work area and follow safety procedures. May machine plastics or non-metal products on occasion.
