The Land Intern role is onsite in Hardwick, VT, and pays $20 per hour. Compensation is also described as dependent on residential or non-residential status. Heartbeet Lifesharing is a therapeutic community residence and Camphill community that combines social and agricultural life. The intern supports adults with developmental disabilities in daily activities while assisting the Farm and Garden crews during the growing season. The work combines person-centered support with farm and garden tasks, contributing to the community’s agricultural stewardship and shared daily life.

What you'll do

• Support livestock and garden work, including livestock husbandry, fencing, milking, barn upkeep, planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting
• use person-centered adaptive methods while supporting adults with developmental disabilities
• assist individuals with daily living, household, artistic, and skill-based activities
• support hygiene, meals, cleaning, social activities, and community routines.
