What you'll do

• Operate and monitor gas- and propane-fired boilers, controls, and auxiliary equipment
• monitor gauges and operating conditions and make authorized adjustments
• operate the feedwater treatment system and record test results
• monitor building automation systems
• inspect plant equipment and safety devices
• respond to alarms and utility interruptions under VA procedures
• troubleshoot and perform minor operational maintenance within assigned scope
• maintain logs and shift handoffs
• complete site orientation, cross-training, and required VA training.

Why this role

Four 10-hour shifts weekly; swing shifts run Wednesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM–12:00 AM, and graveyard shifts run Sunday–Wednesday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM. Federal holidays falling on scheduled shifts are worked. Requires at least one year of documented plant-operator experience, including boiler plant duties within the past three years.
