Assistant Cook, Child Development Center

The Assistant Cook role is an onsite, full-time position in Myrtle Beach, SC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is $15–$18 per hour. Creative Beginnings Child Development Center serves children and families, with relationships at the center of its work. The cook prepares and serves meals for children according to menus, food program guidelines, and allergy accommodations. The role supports safe, timely meal service by maintaining an orderly kitchen, checking ingredients and stock, and organizing food and supplies after deliveries.

What you'll do

• Set up workstations and prepare ingredients
• cook meals using kitchen equipment
• monitor food while cooking and serve meals on time
• maintain a sanitized, orderly kitchen
• follow CACFP guidelines and allergy accommodations
• store and organize food and supplies after deliveries
• check ingredient quality, monitor stock, and place orders when needed.
