School Age Childcare Assistant, Group Leader & Site Supervisor

The School Age Childcare positions are onsite in Guilderland, New York, and follow a part-time schedule Monday through Friday, generally 2:30/3:00 p.m. to 5:30/6:00 p.m.; times vary by location. Compensation is $16 per hour for Activities Assistant, $16.43 per hour for Group Leader, and $20.74 or $21.99 per hour for Site Supervisor I or II. The Capital District YMCA’s School Age Childcare program operates during the school calendar, with an optional opportunity to work in summer camp. These roles support children through school-age childcare programming. Depending on the position, staff assist with activities, lead groups, or supervise a site, while meeting the program’s training, safety, and care requirements.

What you'll do

• Support school-age childcare programming in one of the listed roles: Activities Assistant, Group Leader, or Site Supervisor I or II.
• Maintain required childcare-related training and complete applicable child abuse prevention, CPR, First Aid, AED, and blood-borne pathogen training.
• Summer camp work during July and August is optional and depends on enrollment and staffing needs.
