The Director, Applied AI role follows Metropolis’s office-first model, requiring onsite work at least four days per week in New York, NY. The anticipated base salary is $225,000–$265,000 per year. Metropolis is building technology at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate, with a stated goal of making everyday experiences more responsive. The director leads the Applied AI organization, identifies high-impact business processes for AI transformation, and builds a team to design and deploy production-ready systems. The role partners with functional leaders to measure improvements in time savings, error reduction, and cost impact, and reports strategy and results to senior leadership.

What you'll do

• Own the Applied AI roadmap across finance, operations, revenue, and go-to-market functions
• hire, develop, and lead AI engineers and process analysts
• partner with functional leaders to redesign workflows
• set standards for AI workflows, prompt systems, and large language model integrations
• establish and track transformation metrics
• advise internally on applied AI capabilities and tools
• and present strategy, progress, and results to senior leadership.
