Patient Care Technician — Per Diem

The Patient Care Technician — Per Diem role is onsite in Brattleboro, VT. Pay is $25.25–$33 per hour. The position supports the Medical Clinic at Brattleboro Retreat. The technician performs clinical, clerical, and communication tasks that help the clinic operate effectively and support timely patient care. The role includes specimen collection, electrocardiograms, clinic scheduling and records, triage support, and communication with patients and staff.

What you'll do

• Perform venipuncture and electrocardiograms as ordered
• prepare specimens for transport and obtain laboratory results
• maintain clinic and employee health records
• track inventory and order supplies
• route test results and forms to appropriate departments
• schedule appointments and organize clinic workflow
• triage calls and assist with patient triage
• relay messages and results according to established policies
• orient and mentor staff, including training phlebotomists.
