Automotive Service Advisor

The Automotive Service Advisor role is onsite in Metuchen, NJ, with pay of $60,000–$90,000+ per year depending on experience. The position supports a long-established independent repair facility serving the community. The advisor manages repair orders from intake through completion, communicates repair needs and updates to customers, prepares estimates and invoices, and coordinates technician workflow. The role also supports shop operations and may assist with parts pickup, customer transportation, vehicle transport, and minor vehicle tasks as needed.

What you'll do

• Write and manage repair orders and service tickets
• prepare estimates and final invoices
• communicate vehicle concerns, recommended repairs, and service updates to customers
• dispatch work to technicians and coordinate daily workflow
• support shop operations
• assist with parts pickup, customer transportation, and vehicle transport as needed
• perform minor vehicle-related tasks when needed.
