MEP Project Engineer

The MEP Project Engineer role is onsite in Washington, DC, with required travel between facilities throughout Northern Virginia and Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Compensation is $75,520–$94,400 per year. M.C. Dean designs, builds, operates, and maintains systems for mission-critical facilities and infrastructure. This role supports planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on commercial construction projects. It helps project teams coordinate field work, verify installation quality, resolve constructability issues, and complete commissioning and turnover.

What you'll do

• Coordinate MEP activities with subcontractors, design teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• review drawings, specifications, and submittals
• track RFIs, change orders, and field directives
• provide engineering support and conduct field inspections
• identify constructability issues
• support commissioning, testing, and turnover
• maintain project documentation and reports
• assist with schedule, procurement, and cost tracking
• support quality and site safety.
