Community Assistant, Student Housing

The Community Assistant role is onsite in Tampa, FL. Compensation is $14 per hour. The position supports Newman Student Housing Fund’s faith-based student housing communities and its mission of building communities and changing lives. The assistant manages leasing, marketing, and resident relations, guiding prospective residents through tours, applications, and move-ins. The role also supports resident service, property presentation, and leasing goals through follow-up, administrative work, and established sales and marketing strategies.

What you'll do

• Show and lease units
• greet and qualify prospective residents
• conduct tours and sign leases
• make appointments and follow up with leads
• maintain the leasing office and resident-facing areas
• inspect model and ready units
• answer calls and handle resident complaints or service requests
• use sales and marketing strategies to support leasing goals
• perform administrative tasks.
