Facilities & Maintenance Assistant

Job overview

The Facilities & Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Chicago, Illinois, supporting multiple restaurant locations. Pay is $21–$24 per hour, with overtime at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours over 40 in a workweek. The role helps Happy Camper, Homeslice, and Paradise Park maintain clean, organized, functional, and visually distinctive restaurant spaces.

What you'll do

• Support general maintenance and minor repairs
• perform deep cleaning and organize storage and maintenance areas
• assist with seasonal decorations and special-event installations
• move, assemble, and organize furniture, shelving, supplies, and equipment
• identify issues requiring professional contractors
• coordinate vendor access and walkthroughs
• maintain a task and supply log
• and travel between restaurant locations. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend work possible for urgent needs, seasonal installations, or special projects.
