The Critical Facilities Engineer — Electrical Subject Matter Expert role is onsite in Lancaster, TX. Pay is $45–$56 per hour. The role supports Skybox Critical Operations’ data center infrastructure and mission-critical power systems. The engineer provides hands-on technical leadership to help ensure reliable design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure. The position also supports projects, develops standards, troubleshoots system issues, and guides technicians and junior engineers.

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership for medium- and high-voltage distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, backup generation, and critical power distribution
• troubleshoot, test, commission, and maintain electrical systems
• lead root-cause analysis
• develop maintenance programs
• review designs and establish standards
• support construction, expansion, and retrofit projects
• coordinate with utilities
• mentor technicians and junior engineers.
