Customer Service Representative — Personal Lines Insurance

Job overview

The Customer Service Representative works fully onsite in Bay City, MI, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. Compensation is $40,000–$50,000 per year. The agency is a historic, community-rooted independent insurance agency serving the Great Lakes Bay Region. The representative manages personal-lines policy service and supports clients with coverage questions, billing, renewals, and claims. The role builds trusted client relationships through clear guidance, accurate policy administration, and advocacy with insurance carriers.

What you'll do

• Provide client service while maintaining and growing an assigned personal-lines book
• handle endorsements, renewals, and coverage questions
• resolve client issues
• respond to billing and payment inquiries
• educate clients about coverage, policy changes, exclusions, and carrier options
• receive and submit claim information and advocate with carriers
• identify account-rounding and cross-sell opportunities
• maintain accurate client files
• participate in agency marketing and social media initiatives.
