Staff Front-End Engineer

The targeted annual base salary range in California is $240,000–$280,000, plus stock options. The role supports Zūm’s Connected Mobility Experience and its dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals. The engineer sets front-end technical direction while remaining hands-on, leading architecture decisions and mentoring a distributed engineering team. The work improves the reliability and technical quality of enterprise tools used by school districts, transportation vendors, and internal operations teams.

What you'll do

• Own front-end technical decisions and architecture across the Angular codebase, including state management and RxJS patterns
• technically lead and mentor the Ukraine-based front-end team while writing production code
• partner with product managers and backend engineers to deliver reliable systems
• advance AI tooling and automation
• set architectural standards across dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals
• lead infrastructure-level front-end work.
