The Registered Nurse (RN) — Medical-Surgical is an onsite role in Lincolnton, NC, with a 7 p.m.–7 a.m. weekend schedule. Compensation is not specified. The nurse supports Atrium Health Lincoln’s 30-bed Med Surg Unit, which serves pediatric, palliative, hospice, infectious disease, behavioral health, and orthopedic patients. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with patients, families, and the care team. The role contributes to safe, evidence-based care by monitoring patient conditions, coordinating resources, documenting accurately, and participating in quality and professional governance activities.

What you'll do

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care
• monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans
• collaborate with the care team and mobilize resources
• uphold safety
• evaluate outcomes
• administer medications, treatments, and therapies as applicable
• communicate and delegate appropriately
• maintain timely EHR documentation
• participate in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives
• may float to other units or facilities within the designated service area.
