What you'll do

• Evaluate patient needs and collaborate with physicians on treatment options
• design prosthetic and/or orthotic devices
• select materials and take cast measurements
• perform fittings and static and dynamic alignments
• assess device fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality
• instruct patients in device use
• resolve device issues
• follow up with patients and physicians
• document clinical notes
• support practice management and referral relationships
• provide assistance to clinical staff. May mentor residents or newly certified clinicians
• may be asked to provide on-call or hospital coverage or float between clinics.
