Field Technician 4

Job overview

The Field Technician 4 role is onsite in Yuba City, CA, at $28–$32 per hour. Race Communications connects California communities through fiber internet service. The technician installs, maintains, tests, and troubleshoots fiber and telecommunications systems to support reliable connectivity and customer service. The work includes customer visits, network configuration, ticket completion, safety practices, and mentoring newer technicians.

What you'll do

• Install and troubleshoot residential, enterprise, and small-business internet, telecom, and video services
• install fiber drops and infrastructure
• conduct site surveys
• test fiber with an OTDR and perform fusion splicing
• configure static IP addresses, Ethernet switching, and IP routing
• resolve customer issues onsite and by phone
• manage CRM tickets and work orders
• mentor and train team members
• operate equipment and maintain vehicle and jobsite safety.
