Maintenance Technician – Third Shift

The Maintenance Technician – Third Shift role is onsite in Jackson, GA. Pay is $34–$40 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus shift differential and bonus potential. The role supports Quanex’s plant equipment and automation operations. The technician maintains reliable equipment operation through preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, helping sustain production and equipment performance.

What you'll do

• Perform general equipment maintenance and repairs
• work with programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, safety controllers, and electrical components
• diagnose failed components and work safely on voltages up to 480V
• use a digital voltmeter
• interpret electrical schematics
• assist with new equipment and improvements
• coordinate equipment updates and operational issues with maintenance personnel and line workers
• attend outside training and seminars. Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 10 p.m.–6 a.m.
• initial training is on first shift, Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–2 p.m.
