Mammography Technologist – Per Diem

The Mammography Technologist – Per Diem role is onsite in Fort Myers, Florida, with flexible coverage needs. Compensation is not specified. The technologist performs screening and diagnostic mammography and supports the success of the service at the practice. The role prepares and guides patients, produces quality images, follows radiation safety and regulatory requirements, and maintains equipment, records, and accreditation-related documentation.

What you'll do

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography
• prepare patients and explain procedures
• position mammographic equipment and set exposure factors
• use radiation protection techniques and follow equipment safety standards
• review digital images for quality and maintain equipment
• complete quality assurance testing and required reports under MQSA, ACR, and state requirements
• maintain patient confidentiality, paperwork, tracking, and QA documents
• assist the radiologist with QA/QC reporting and maintain ACR accreditation.
