The Case Management Utilization Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively with an MD to coordinate and screen for the appropriateness of admissions and continued stays at the San Diego Medical Center in San Diego, CA. This onsite contract role supports the utilization management team in ensuring cost-effective, high-quality care. The role exists to function as an indirect caregiver and patient advocate, managing patients in the most cost-effective way without compromising quality. The RN coordinates discharge plans, assesses high-risk patients, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
