The part-time Accounting Assistant role is onsite at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds' Pearl River site in Orangeburg, NY. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour. Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds is a nonprofit organization that maintains and supervises more than 500 acres of property across three locations in support of Jewish day camps. The assistant supports daily accounting operations, primarily accounts payable and receivable. The role processes invoices, prepares reports and journal entries, assists with reconciliations and closings, and coordinates with internal and external contacts.

What you'll do

• Process incoming payables and generate outgoing invoices
• run reports and prepare journal entries
• import credit card charges
• assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
• assist with month-end and year-end closings and audits
• interface with executives, managers, employees, vendors, auditors, insurance providers, and other external contacts.
