What you'll do
- Demonstrates familiarity with the basics of radiation/radiation safety.
- Positions x-ray camera for fluoroscopy/angiography.
- Pans table to accurately visualize requested/appropriate views.
- Performs daily checks to ensure proper equipment function.
- Demonstrates sterile technique for handling sterile instruments/supplies.
- Proficiently enters data on EP Hemodynamic Monitoring system.
- Assists with monitoring patient condition throughout procedure including, but not limited to rhythm Vital signs, response to interventions, art lines.
- Documents required procedure steps, supplies used and patient condition into medical record throughout case.
- Communicates with the Circulating nurse supplies used for patient charge ticket and verifies accuracy.
- Monitors patients in holding area as assigned.
- Proficiently removes sheaths and holds pressure to achieve hemostasis.
- Demonstrates proficiency with equipment in EP Lab.

- Education
- High School Graduate / GED
- Experience
- One – three years Electrophysiology or Cardiac Cath Lab experience performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures – preferred; Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program OR Radiologic Technology program - preferred; High School Graduate / GED- required; BLS Certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
