Class A Driver, Medical Waste Services

Job overview

The Class A Driver role is onsite in Grand Junction, CO, with a Monday–Friday first-shift schedule starting at approximately 5 AM. Pay is $35 per hour. Daniels Health provides regulated medical waste collection and treatment services intended to support safety and infection control for healthcare customers. The role transports medical waste and sharps containers on assigned routes and also spends approximately 12 hours per week inside hospitals exchanging containers. It supports reliable, safe waste collection through route execution, vehicle inspections, DOT compliance, and adherence to hospital safety and infection-control procedures.

What you'll do

• Operate straight trucks and tractor trailers ranging from 26 to 53 feet
• collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containers
• manage assigned routes and scheduled deliveries
• complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• comply with DOT regulations and logging requirements
• travel to Denver once per week for a trailer exchange without overnight stays
• exchange containers in hospitals
• handle loaded carts and containers
• follow infection-control and safety protocols
• maintain cleanliness and correct container placement.
