What you'll do

• Prepare the surgical field, instruments, supplies, and equipment for scheduled cases
• anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies
• maintain sterile technique and report breaks or unsafe situations
• perform surgical counts with the circulating nurse
• handle specimens and medications according to policy
• select appropriate sterilization methods
• support room turnover
• provide guidance to lower-level surgical technologists as needed.

Why this role
