What you'll do

• Provide technical guidance for machinists operating multi-axis Swiss screw machines and CNC lathes
• determine tooling, feeds, and speeds
• manage cutting tools, collets, guide bushings, and wear offsets
• troubleshoot G-code, chatter, tool wear, and dimensional drift
• interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T
• lead or support Kaizen projects
• apply Lean methods including 5S, standard work, and SMED
• update SOPs and setup sheets
• collaborate with engineering and quality
• help estimate machining time and cost for custom parts
• perform preventive maintenance and diagnose machine-tool problems
• and train and informally mentor machinists and operators.
