The Master Digital Tooling Engineer is an onsite role based in Marietta, GA. Compensation is not specified for this contract position. This role supports Quest Defense Systems & Solutions, Inc. in designing and developing advanced production tooling for aerospace manufacturing. This role exists to bridge the gap between engineering design and manufacturing execution. The Master Digital Tooling Engineer contributes to the company's goals by creating jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids, validating digital models, and supporting the digital transformation of aerospace production processes.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and improve production tooling, assembly jigs, fixtures, gauges, and installation aids.
• Support aircraft assembly, structural installation, systems installation, and final assembly operations.
• Create and validate tooling designs using CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, or Siemens NX.
• Review and validate 3D models, digital scan data, and point cloud data to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers performing 3D scanning of tooling and production assemblies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement tooling improvements that increase quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Support engineering changes, manufacturing planning, and production rate increases.
• Lead or support First Article Inspections (FAI), Material Review Board (MRB) activities, Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, planning, quality, and liaison teams to resolve technical issues.
• Train production teams on tooling best practices and support ongoing process improvements.
