The Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) – Mid-Level role is onsite in Arlington, VA, with compensation of $120,000–$160,000 per year. Osprey Talent Solutions is recruiting for a role supporting mission-critical data and analytics capabilities in a defense environment. The engineer contributes across the software development lifecycle, building dashboard features, supporting CI/CD and deployment work, and integrating data within an agile team. The role helps deliver reliable, tested, production-ready capabilities and collaborates with senior engineers and government stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Build front-end analytical dashboard views using Palantir Foundry Workshop or Slate under senior engineer guidance
• support CI/CD pipeline configuration, build scripts, automated testing, and environment promotion
• implement metric definitions and data transformations aligned to Foundry Ontology
• produce technical documentation, runbooks, and sprint artifacts
• participate in sprint planning, standups, reviews, and stakeholder demonstrations
• test and validate dashboards and data
• identify integration issues and communicate blockers
• support defect resolution and platform enhancements.
