Sales Lead — Thrift Store

The part-time Sales Lead role is onsite in Berkeley, CA, with a stated pay rate of $17.84 per hour and 25 hours per week. The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center’s no-fee program supports people working to complete its rehabilitation program; the retail team supports that program through store operations. The Sales Lead partners with the Store Manager on daily operations and may assume store responsibilities when managers are absent. The role supports sales and service, store coverage, employee coaching, inventory and donations, and a positive shopping and donor experience.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Store Manager on opening and closing, point-of-sale operations, inventory, merchandising, and donations
• oversee day-to-day operations when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is absent
• help monitor sales and performance indicators
• schedule employees and coordinate team meetings when managers are absent
• coach and train employees
• support customer and donor satisfaction
• assist back-room processing
• support program beneficiaries when work therapy assignments are in place
• and help protect store cash, inventory, property, and security.
