Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Rochester, NY, and compensation is $40,000–$55,000 per year. The position supports building systems and equipment for a commercial real estate operation. Working under the Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer, the technician performs routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs to help keep building spaces and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

What you'll do

• Perform restroom repairs and clear drains
• carry, stack, sort materials, and remove debris
• use employer-provided vehicles to obtain parts and supplies
• maintain or replace door hardware and perform minor furniture, floor, and painting work
• clean and inspect engineering areas, mechanical spaces, and equipment
• replace lamps, air filters, ceiling tiles, and fire extinguishers
• communicate with teammates, leadership, vendors, tenants, and client employees
• follow safety protocols and use PPE
• report hazards and participate in safety audits.
