Production Operator — Packaging and Wet End

The Production Operator role is onsite in Horseheads, NY, supporting a large manufacturer’s Packaging and Wet End departments. Pay is $17.50 per hour. The role helps ensure production equipment operates successfully and meets product, quality, and food-safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Set up, operate, change over, assemble and disassemble, and clean production equipment
• follow customer specifications
• perform metal detection
• report safety, food-safety, maintenance, production, and quality issues
• lead machine-line assignments and resolve or escalate line problems
• train new team members
• and monitor productivity and quality. The posting describes a rotating schedule of three workdays one week and four the next.
