What you'll do

• Create, issue, update, and close purchase orders
• review purchasing needs, specifications, inventory, lead times, and delivery dates
• compare supplier quotes and negotiate terms
• maintain supplier and order records
• track and expedite open orders
• coordinate with production and inventory teams
• monitor supplier quality and delivery
• resolve delivery, quantity, pricing, damaged-goods, and invoice discrepancies
• identify cost-reduction and supplier-performance improvements.
