The Sophia Way’s Shelter Staff team helps provide a safe and supportive environment for shelter residents. The role supports residents’ safety and well-being through crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation, while also helping with daily shelter operations. Staff communicate observations and incidents to shelter leadership to support appropriate follow-up and a calm, structured setting.

What you'll do

• Support residents using crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation techniques
• help resolve conflicts and support residents with day-to-day shelter life
• assist with cleaning, organizing, and meal setups
• report observations and incidents to shelter leadership.
