Supply Chain and Procurement Specialist

The Supply Chain and Procurement Specialist role is onsite in Woodway, TX, with regular work between Irving and Waco locations as business needs require. Compensation is not specified. FreeFlight Systems’ operations team coordinates with Engineering, Program Management, Procurement, Production, and Quality. The specialist supports supplier qualification, procurement, and supply chain continuity to help maintain supplier performance and reduce operational risk. The role also coordinates cross-functional work and supports new product introductions and production transitions.

What you'll do

• Identify, qualify, onboard, and endorse contract manufacturers
• conduct onsite inspections and First Article Inspections
• maintain approval processes and documentation
• assess vendors and support corrective actions
• develop alternate manufacturers
• coordinate cross-functional activities and lead biweekly status meetings
• support product sustainment, procurement, and new product launches
• administer in-house service contracts
• monitor supplier compliance and performance
• identify bottlenecks and support corrective actions
• participate in make-buy analyses and sourcing decisions
• support counterfeit parts prevention and risk mitigation.
