Field Technician I

The Field Technician I role is onsite in Williston, ND, with frequent regional travel and occasional out-of-town travel. Compensation is $21–$25 per hour. The technician conducts field and laboratory tests of soils, concrete, bituminous materials, and masonry to assess compliance with standards and project requirements. Accurate results, safe work practices, and clear reporting help project teams and clients make informed decisions.

What you'll do

• Perform field testing of soils, plastic concrete, bituminous materials, or masonry
• conduct field and Proctor density tests
• perform laboratory testing and calibrations
• observe excavations and compare observations with soil boring logs
• perform hand auger borings under project manager direction
• report test results
• communicate with project managers, clients, contractors, and suppliers
• maintain laboratory and equipment
• follow regulations and quality and safety policies
• maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
