What you'll do

• Plan work from drawings, sketches, and written or oral instructions
• assign work to others when assistance is required
• repair and adjust machinery and equipment
• inspect and lubricate machinery and report defective parts
• disassemble, overhaul, repair, and reassemble packing and puree equipment
• repair and test pipeline systems
• build, install, maintain, and repair steel structures and heavy machinery
• rig heavy equipment
• operate shop machinery and welding equipment
• monitor maintenance supplies
• perform general carpentry and painting
• follow safety and food-safety procedures.
