The Intern, AI Engineer Platform role is onsite in Boise, ID. Compensation is not specified. The intern supports Micron’s AI Engineering Platform team, which builds and operates infrastructure and platforms for enterprise analytics, machine learning, and AI workloads. The role exists to help improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of cloud platforms and engineering operations. Through project work in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation, and AI-enabled tools, the intern contributes to platforms that support innovation across Micron.

What you'll do

• Support cloud platform, Kubernetes, and infrastructure projects with global platform engineering teams
• develop scripts, automation tools, dashboards, and monitoring solutions
• assist with platform operations and customer requests
• evaluate emerging technologies and build proof-of-concept solutions
• contribute platform improvements related to cloud infrastructure, AI, and automation
• and develop or use AI-powered tools and agentic workflows to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
