The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is an onsite local-contract role at the Miami VA Medical Center in Miami, FL. Pay is $50–$55 per hour. The role provides emergency nursing care to Veterans presenting with acute and emergent medical and psychological conditions. The RN assesses, triages, stabilizes, treats, and monitors patients while coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals. This work supports safe, compassionate emergency care, patient education, and continuity through discharge.

What you'll do

• Assess and manage patients with acute physical and psychological conditions
• perform triage, stabilization, and monitoring
• administer prescribed medications and blood products
• maintain IV lines and assist with central-line care
• perform phlebotomy and bedside testing as assigned
• provide wound care
• assist with emergency and resuscitation procedures
• respond to deteriorating conditions
• collaborate with care teams
• educate patients and families
• document care.
